UBC Masters is looking for a Head Coach

UBC Masters Swim Club is seeking qualified applicants to fill the Head Coach position, starting January 2013 (although there may be an opportunity to start earlier if it works out for the selected candidate). Our season runs September to August, with two-week hiatus in late December/early January and a brief hiatus over Labour Day weekend in late August/early September.

Our club swims out of the UBC Aquatic Centre indoor and outdoor pools. We are a club with a maximum membership of 110 members, approximately 70-80% are recreational swimmers, the rest of which are competitive. We run practices seven days a week ranging from 1 hour to 1.5 hours in length.

Our club has two groups: a Monday/Wednesday (6:30-7:30pm) group and a Tuesday/Thursday (7:00-8:00pm) group. Our practices on Fridays (6:30-7:30pm) and Saturday/Sunday (5:00-6:30pm) are open to all club members. We strive to have two coaches on deck for all practices. Please refer to our website: for more details.
